HPV causes a variety of devastating diseases including cancer and RRP. What more incentive do people need to take Gardasil, which is said to prevent HPV infection at a nearly 100% level of reliability?

On the RRP ISA message board (March 28, 2008), Dr. Bettie Steinberg--a molecular biologist who is an highly respected expert on RRP and HPV--made the following observation. Dr. Steinberg wrote:

It is not yet approved in the US for males, because the studies were done on women (studies on males are currently in progress). Therefore, insurance companies will not pay for it, but it is permissible for doctors to give it to males.   It is already approved for males in several other countries.   It protects against the four most common HPV types in the genital track, including the two that cause most warts and the two that cause most genital cancers.  If someone is infected with one type, it is still valuable to get it because it will protect against infection with the other types.
